The whisky matured in a modern Viking longhouse, where extreme temperature shifts and an average yearly temperature of just 0.6°C ensure a slow and complex maturation. Fruity and elegant aromas of apricot, honeyed malt and roasted nuts are lifted by rye spice and gentle sherry sweetness. Balanced and complex on the palate, caramelized orange, dried fruits and almonds meet rye-driven pepper, soft oak, cinnamon and a touch of coastal freshness. The finish is long and warming with nutty Amontillado dryness, chocolate, vanilla and a hint of glacier-cool minerality.
